 Originally, it was a wild growth plant in Japan.

 There is record in Japan it had been cultivated and used as vegetable by 17th century.

  This crop favor cool climate. Short day condition makes them flowering . Flowered one is not suitable for eating.

 Under Japanese climate, it's best cropping season is May. It takes 1.5 month to harvest after sowing.  Even winter period, it is possible to produce by heating under plastic house. It takes around 3month to harvest.

  Rich in Vitamin A, Calcium and Potassium. 

  Compare to Spinach, it contains almost the same rate of Vitamin A and 3times of Calcium.
